The Truth About the Forex and CFD Industry - What are the Threats and Opportunities Ahead

Published on 18 May 2016(Today) The Truth About the Forex & CFD Industry - Discover the Threats & Opportunities Ahead, especially if you are trading or currently working in the industry. What are the warning signals and how bright is the future? Australia, UK and Germany are now becoming extremely mature markets in the CFD & Forex space, with a few of the largest brokering firms enjoying a stranglehold on the majority of retail traders. Today I’m going to take a look at the future of the Forex & CFD companies, given the warning signals showing up and how companies might be able to better position themselves for the change in direction. From 2014 to 2015, the Australian CFD industry grew a meager 2%, from 42,000 traders to 43,000. GFT Swings Financing Libor Sword At Humble CFD Trader

GFT Markets Now Charges Financing On Short CFD Trades
As LIBOR currently sits at a value lower than 250 basis points, GFT is not charging its customers if they are holding a short position.  However, effective Monday 9th June, GFT will be applying a charge of LIBOR minus 250 basis points to customers, which in the current circumstances will result in a charge for financing being applied to customers instead of being credited with financing.  If LIBOR is above 250 basis points, customers will continue to receive financing on short positions per the Market Information Sheets.
